Twin Valley Featured Image Innovation Award

Twin Valley has been selected as a 2024 Innovation Award recipient from the Wichita Business Journal. These awards are meant to honor local businesses who have discovered innovative approaches and solutions in the workplace.

The following was printed in the Wichita Business Journal.

Twin Valley is a rapidly growing broadband and communications company, serving rural Kansans for nearly 80 years with cutting-edge technology. Its community Pledge is to provide the most reliable broadband network, the best value, local hometown customer service and meaningful community outreach initiatives. With this as a guide, Twin Valley has taken a proactive approach to supporting the state’s vision for achieving digital equity. The company’s best innovations of the last year address the two primary elements of digital inclusion – a robust broadband network and affordability.

Reliable broadband is vital in today’s economy. Public and private clouds, video streaming, home offices and emerging 5G services are driving demand for more bandwidth and flexibility from networks than ever before. Twin Valley is leading the charge to meet this need as one of the first broadband providers in the nation to deploy four 400 Gig rings, creating a more robust, future-ready network. This investment helps provide consistent and reliable internet service across Twin Valley’s 4,100+ square mile service area and mitigates the risk of outages. It will also allow for 100 Gig and 10 Gig circuits to support schools, businesses, government, and cellular sites. Whether comparing to large national corporations or independent rural providers, Twin Valley has created an industry-leading broadband network that surpasses the connectivity of the country’s largest cities and will serve as a foundation for economic and workforce development throughout rural Kansas.

Additionally, more than 438,000 Kansas households are eligible for internet bill assistance through the federal Affordable Connectivity Program, yet only 30% are enrolled. To increase enrollment and support low-income families, the Twin Valley Financial Assistance Program was launched, with fiber customers receiving up to 300 Mbps symmetrical service free or heavily discounted gigabit service.

These digital inclusion efforts will impact generations to come.
