As part of Twin Valley’s Youth Scholarship Program, the company has awarded $12,500 in scholarships to 11 local seniors to put toward tuition at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the 2024-2025 school year. In an effort to support local students and encourage the retention of talent and families in rural Kansas, those selected are graduates from a high school in a Twin Valley connected community and have expressed an interest in returning to a rural area following graduation.
The 2025 deadline to apply for Twin Valley’s Youth Scholarship Program is Friday, February 14. Eligible students must reside in a Twin Valley service area. The link to the application portal can be found at twinvalley.com/outreach through Twin Valley’s partner Foundation for Rural Service. Applicants will be considered as a part of the national FRS scholarship program, and those selected will be notified by May 2025. Applicants not awarded through Twin Valley’s partnership with FRS will be considered in a second round through the Twin Valley Community Outreach Program.
“We believe education is the cornerstone of strong communities. By investing in local students, we hope to inspire a new generation of leaders who will fuel the growth and vitality of rural Kansas for years to come,” said Ben Foster, Twin Valley President & CEO.
