Two Twin Valley leaders have been recognized nationally for their outstanding contributions to rural broadband. During the 2025 RTIME conference, NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association honored Jason Gibbs and Megan Harper with Excellence Awards, celebrating their commitment to innovation and marketing excellence in the industry.
The NTCA Excellence Awards recognize broadband professionals who go above and beyond to support their customers and communities while advancing communications services in rural America. Winners are selected by NTCA’s Awards Committee, comprised of association members.
Jason Gibbs, Director of Network Operations at Twin Valley, was awarded the Innovation Award for his leadership in enhancing network reliability and performance across Twin Valley’s 4,000-square-mile service area. Under Gibbs’ direction, Twin Valley became one of the first broadband providers to deploy 400-gig rings for its backbone network, significantly improving resilience and reducing the risk of outages. This advanced infrastructure also supports high-capacity 100-gig and 10-gig circuits, ensuring businesses, schools, and government agencies have access to the connectivity they need.
Megan Harper, Director of Marketing & Sales at Twin Valley, was recognized with the Outstanding Marketing Achievement Award for her leadership in guiding Twin Valley through a significant rebrand and digital transformation. Following the acquisition of another company, Harper spearheaded the development of a new website, increasing traffic by 50% and improving the customer experience. Her marketing strategies have strengthened Twin Valley’s brand presence and contributed to a Net Promoter Score 12 points above the industry benchmark, demonstrating strong customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Twin Valley’s impact at NTCA extends beyond these award winners. CEO Ben Foster serves as NTCA Board Vice Chair, actively advocating for policies that support rural broadband expansion and enhance connectivity for communities across the country.
“I’m incredibly proud of Megan Harper and Jason Gibbs for earning national recognition among the best in the rural broadband industry,” said Foster. “These awards highlight their dedication to innovation, customer experience, and community impact—values that drive everything we do at Twin Valley. It’s an honor to see our team’s hard work recognized on a national stage.”
As the premier association representing nearly 850 independent, community-based broadband companies, NTCA is committed to advancing policies that help close the digital divide and advocating for its members in legislative and regulatory arenas. The association provides educational programming, industry research, training, and development through virtual and in-person events, as well as employee benefit programs.
