As part of our pledge, we have committed to supporting our local communities in meaningful ways. We’re more than just a company, we are an active part of our communities, because you’re not just a customer, you’re our neighbors, our friends, our family.

Twin Valley is proud to offer community grants, youth scholarships, and programs for veterans, along with support for other community events and causes. In addition to the programs below, community members can request donations from Twin Valley for their events, fundraisers, or promotions.

Scholarships and Grants

  • Community Grant Program

    Applications must be submitted to Twin Valley by August 1, 2025.

    The Twin Valley Community Grant Program focuses on filling local needs with an emphasis on digital inclusion efforts, expanding on the company’s statewide contributions to creating digital equity in Kansas.

    “As a family-owned company founded and operated in rural Kansas for four generations, we are proud of the work our neighbors and communities take on. Our Community Donations program is just one way we give to the causes and events that are meaningful to our rural communities,” said Ben Foster, president & CEO of Twin Valley. “We also take the extra step to support our neighbors through the unique challenges that are faced by rural areas through our Community Grants Program. We aim to be a part of addressing these challenges and improving the quality of life for those impacted.”

  • Scholarship Program

    2025 Application Window is Closed

    Twin Valley awards scholarships up to $2,500 to local high school seniors to use towards an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school. The student must live in a Twin Valley connected community and have an interest in returning to a rural Kansas community following graduation. Applications are accepted through Twin Valley’s partner Foundation for Rural Service. Applicants will be considered as a part of the national FRS scholarship program, and those scholarship recipients will be notified by May 2025. Any applications not awarded through Twin Valley’s partnership with FRS will be considered in a second round through the Twin Valley Community Outreach Program.

  • Teacher Scholarships to Attend Kansas Tech Summit

    2024 Application Window Closed

    In support of digital equity in Kansas, Twin Valley is offering 90 scholarships to educators to attend the highly anticipated 3rd Annual Ad Astra Technology Summit, presented by state tech industry organization FlagshipKansas.Tech. As the state’s largest independent broadband and communications company, Twin Valley serves primarily rural communities. This exclusive program will be open to any Kansas K-12 educator, with a focus on rural teachers in Twin Valley’s service area and throughout the state.

    “The scholarships are our way of honoring the commitment and enthusiasm of Kansas teachers. We are dedicated to investing in the future of education by supporting those who inspire and nurture young minds,” said Ben Foster, President & CEO of Twin Valley.

    FlagshipKansas.Tech’s cutting-edge summit will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Wichita. It will feature a moderated chat with science educator Bill Nye, aka “the Science Guy.” As an engineer, comedian, inventor, and science educator, Nye uses his unique pedagogical skills to facilitate the understanding of the complex nature of scientific concepts.

  • No Barriers Warriors Program for Veterans with Disabilities

    2024 Application Window is Closed

    Twin Valley partners with CoBank, one of the largest private providers of credit to the U.S. rural economy, to provide an opportunity for veterans with disabilities to overcome barriers, tackle challenges, and build a network of support through the No Barriers Warriors program.

    The program offers participants an opportunity to participate in demanding activities like rafting, rock climbing, and hiking to become better equipped to overcome the obstacles they face in their daily lives. The best part – the program is paid for entirely by CoBank. There is no cost to participate.

    Veterans must be nominated by Twin Valley or another CoBank partner to receive priority consideration.

    If you, or someone you know, is interested in participating in the No Barriers Warriors program, please complete the online form (will be linked here once available) and note that you were referred by CoBank/Twin Valley to receive priority consideration. Complete the General Interest Form to stay informed of opportunities. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Twin Valley will sponsor applications for those who live in the Twin Valley service area.
