A lifelong connection to the family business and deep roots in Miltonvale, Kansas, define Penny’s story. As a third-generation owner and board member for over 50 years, she brings a legacy of dedication, hands-on experience, and a strong commitment to both the company and the community it serves.

Her journey with the company began early—working part-time through high school and college from 1966 to 1974. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Education from Kansas State University, she spent two years teaching before returning full time in 1976. Over the next 35 years, she wore many hats—supporting customer service, managing billing, taxes, and payroll, and ultimately leading as Human Resources Manager until her retirement in 2011.

What makes her presence on the board especially valuable is her deep institutional knowledge and practical understanding of how the company has evolved over the decades. She bridges generations, offering insight rooted in tradition, while also supporting thoughtful progress and innovation. Her perspective is grounded not only in experience but in a genuine care for the people behind the business: the employees, customers, and community.

Miltonvale has always been home. In addition to her business involvement, she gives back through community service—serving as Treasurer for the Miltonvale Lions Club and as a board member for MERIT, a local nonprofit focused on community development.

Family has always been at the heart of her life. She was married to John Gisselbeck from 1971 until his passing in 2017, and together they raised four children and built a life full of love and purpose. She is now a proud grandmother of twelve and found companionship again in 2018 when she married Ron Goldsmith.

With a lifetime of experience, service, and heart, Penny continues to be a steady and trusted voice on the board, helping guide the company’s mission and honoring the values that started it all.
